Sent for Me

“‘As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.’” John 17:18, NASB Updated.

Pan* continues to show an interest in Christianity, especially since she has experienced Him personally. How did she experience God? It took an ongoing family hardship, a Christian friend and an answered prayer to make the connection.

Pan works and lives in one city, while her husband, Cee Thai, works in a neighboring town. They only see each other on sporadic weekends or holidays. Pan shared with her Christian friend, Cheri, about the hardships of having her husband live in another town. Cheri suggested that she pray to God about her husband getting a job in the city where she lives. Pan agreed to take her advice and try praying to God in the name of Jesus.

Several weeks later, Pan called Cheri on the telephone. With great excitement she shared that Cee Thai had found a job in the same city, and in the same area! They now can ride together to work every day. As her excitement died down, Pan got serious. She asked, “Why would your God answer my prayers?”

Cheri responded, “God wanted you to know that He is real and that He cares about your life.”

Later that week Pan and Cee Thai came to visit Cheri and her husband, David. Pan and Cee Thai believe that God answered Pan’s prayer, and that He is real. Pan said, “In fact, I think God sent you here for me to know more about God.” Cheri certainly agreed with that statement!

Pray that:

Pan and Cee Thai will grow from believing God is real to claiming a personal relationship with Cheri’s God through faith in Jesus.

Pacific Rim workers, like David and Cheri, will be led to people of peace, like Pan and Cee Thai, so they can share Good News to people with prepared hearts.

God will reveal Himself to the people of Northern Thailand so that they may know Him.
