Divided House is Not Good

“If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.” Mark 3:25, NASB Updated.

My name is Sug. I am from the Lua tribe of Northern Thailand. I married a girl from the Hmong tribe when I was 13 years old. After 10 years of marriage my wife decided to become a follower of Jesus. For two years I watched the way she lived as a Christian. She used to get mad all the time. On occasion she’d hit me and our children. But since she started following Jesus all that changed. She smiles more, and our relationship is much better.

A Christian who spoke Lua explained how to begin a relationship with God by following Jesus. I decided that if God could make such a great change in Mor’s life, then the Christian way is a good way to follow. Besides, it is not good to have a divided house. Mor was with God, and I was with the bad spirit. That was not good. Now our house is undivided. We serve God.

The bad spirit takes and takes but never gives anything. With God, He gives, and we receive. God has given me peace. I now know that I don’t have to be afraid of bad spirits. I am 25 years old, and I have been following Jesus for two months.

Pray that:

God will help Sug grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus.

Sug and Mor will be a bright testimony to the Lua and Hmong tribes of what it means to follow Jesus.

The Holy Spirit will convince many Lua and Hmong people that the Christian way is the right way.
