Powerful Name of Jesus

“When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.” Mark 5:15, NIV.

The Mien worship spirits. Whenever anything bad happens they will take a chicken or pig and offer it as a sacrifice to appease the bad spirit.  As Christians entered a Mien village, they heard about a woman in her twenties who was a known sinner. Villagers said she had done many bad things and the evil spirit was punishing her.

The believers found her lying on the ground, writhing in pain. She had not had any energy to care for herself or do any of the daily activities of life. Christians formed a circle around the woman and prayed over her in the name of Jesus. Several people prayed. By the end of the prayers the woman was able to get up! She ate and was strengthened.

The Gospel was presented to her and she said yes to the Jesus who set her free from the oppression of the bad spirit.

Pray that:

Jesus will set many Mien free from spiritual bondage.

Believers will boldly pray for healing and freedom from spiritual oppression so that the Mien will see and believe the Gospel.

A rapidly reproducing Mien church will be founded before the end of 2008.
