Walked the Same Path

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20, KJV.

After walking for over fifteen years in the paths of alcoholism and drug abuse, Cee Thai remembered his Christian upbringing and sought the Lord. God gloriously healed him of his addictions and Cee Thai committed himself to follow Jesus. Sixteen years later Cee Thai feels great pain to see his twenty year old cousin, Nop, on the same path of addictions that God had saved him from.

“I’ve told Nop to look at my life,” said Cee Thai. “I told him that bad things happen on the path he is on, but good things can happen if he’ll turn to the LORD.” So far Nop has not listened to his cousin’s plea to seek God.

Thinking back on his own time in the wilderness Cee Thai said, “I remember how many times my parents pleaded with me, and I didn’t listen. I am praying that God will graciously do for Nop what he did for me.”

Cee Thai has walked the same path of drinking, smoking and drugs. He knows that the path of following Jesus has a much brighter future, and he prays that Nop will find Christ before it is too late.

Pray that:

Cee Thai will be encouraged to persevere in praying for and witnessing to Nop. It often takes a long time for Northern Thai to make a decision for Christ, and Northern Thai believers must be long suffering in their witness.

Nop will see his need and turn to Jesus to be healed and saved.

God will use Cee Thai to turn many people away from addictions and turn many people towards saving faith in Jesus.
