New Birth and Prayer Partners

“But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’-- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” Romans 10:8-10, NASB.

Today a new believer was born again! You prayed for Alice*, and God used a visiting prayer partner in response. Satomi is my long-time prayer partner from Japan. She visited me and took the opportunity to share about her walk with the Lord. Her testimony touched Alice’s heart, and Alice opened up in a new way by sharing her burdens.

After three hours of sharing together, we showed Alice Romans 10:9-10. She was hesitant to say she believed. But we asked Alice if she could confess her belief with her mouth, and she finally said, "I believe in Jesus."
 
Alice was baptized in our bathtub, and we will meet her again to help her continue her journey of faith. Our prayer is that Alice will become a disciple who helps others become disciples. I thank God for Satomi's testimony, and her willingness to work in our harvest field even though she was only in my part of Japan for a short time. I am grateful to you for your prayers.

Pray that:

Alice will be desperate for Jesus and cling to Him for the rest of her life.

Alice will desire to share her faith with her friends and family in Japan.

IMB personnel and local believers will be wise in knowing how to love, encourage and train Alice as a passionate follower of Jesus.
