Passing it On

“‘Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” John 8:32, NIV.

Makiyo* and her husband own a restaurant. Her husband heard about Jesus last year when volunteers from the United States came on a mission trip and shared the Gospel with him. He told Akiyo about Jesus, too. 

Missionaries in the area continued visiting Makiyo, and one missionary gave her a Bible during one of those visits. She thanked the Christian friend profusely for the Bible, and she immediately began thumbing through it. “If you had given this to me before, I probably wouldn’t have accepted it. However, I have come to realize that my understanding of Jesus is not correct. I want to read this Bible so that I can understand the truth.”

Pray that:

Makiyo will understand and come to know the Truth as she reads the Bible.

Makiyo will continue to see Christ living through her missionary friends.

Makiyo and her husband will use their restaurant to glorify God.
