Grasping for Control

“You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4, NASB.

One night as I lay on my bed I felt something grab me. It was like a hand had reached into my chest and was squeezing my heart. When it happened I immediately began to pray. I claimed scriptures and prayed louder and louder. After what seemed an eternity, but what was probably only three or four minutes the demon released me and fled.

Many of my Christian Thai friends have had similar experiences with demons. Some have felt like the demons were choking them, others like me feel the pressure on their chests. We just know that when demons attack you have to fight back in Jesus’ Name. When you stand in faith the demons have to flee! The absolute worst thing you can do is to give in to fear. With Jesus in our lives we no longer have to be afraid of any evil spirit.

Pray that:

Thai believers will rest in their authority over evil spirits.

The Spiritual strongholds that hold Thai people will be torn down and many will accept the Gospel.
