Good for You
Testimony of Brooke Brandon, Journeyman serving in Chiang Mai, Thailand

“He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works... Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.” Psalm 33:15, 20, NKJV.

My Thai friends love to please me. They almost always smile, but I’ve learned that their smile does not mean that they are always happy. I’ve had to learn to read their smiles, which at times seem to be a mask that keeps outsiders outside.

Thai people are friendly and will listen to what you believe, while it never even enters their minds that your experience might have application to their own lives. At times the walls between the Thai people and faith seem so overwhelming. It is at these times that I remind myself that the hearts of the Thai people are not hidden from God. He is the one who can break down the walls and teach the Thai – and especially my beloved Northern Thai – that the Gospel is good for them too.

Pray that:

God will touch the hearts of the Northern Thai so that they might receive His love.

The spiritual walls that Thai people throw up will be lovingly taken down by the sacrificial example of Jesus and His followers.

Believers in Northern Thailand will not lose heart, but will continue to share the Gospel and pray for a massive turning of the Northern Thai to faith in Jesus.
