The Narrow Path

“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.” Luke 13:24, NKJV.

Richard* is an independent and soft spoken guy. He grew up in a small village that was several hours away from the nearest city.  He came to the city for college. It was a big adjustment, but he learned city life. Richard became good friends with Christians who helped him with his English.

After living in the city for a few years, Richard had an argument with his roommates and moved in with some of his Christian friends. They shared with him regularly over a two year period but he continued to cling to his Muslim faith, to the point that he would get up and leave if Jesus was brought up in a conversation. 

One night Richard had a dream. He was hiking with one of his Christian friends.  As they walked, they got to a narrow place in the path.  The Christian, who is much bigger than Richard, walked straight through the narrow way without any problems.  Richard tried to follow, but he couldn’t make it. He took off his backpack and tried to crawl through, but still he couldn’t get through. When he woke up, he told his friend about his dream. Fear shone in his eyes.  He knew that the dream had meaning.  His friend told him that the road to God is narrow and that without Jesus you can’t pass through to heaven.  A few months later, Richard surrendered and made Jesus his guide on the narrow road.

Richard now works for a Christian organization and shares the Gospel with many Muslim friends on a neighboring island.  When his family found out about his new life, they were furious and have rejected him. But Richard continues along the narrow road. He has no intention of turning back.

God will bless Richard’s ministry.

Many people will find the narrow path through Richard’s testimony.

Richard’s family will come to faith in the LORD, Jesus Christ.
