My Students

“For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well.” 2 Timothy 1:5, NASB Updated.

Yu* meets other Christians for coffee before going to work, and they pray together about reaching students with the Gospel where he is teaching. Yu’s group joins with many other groups of Japanese believers to pray for workers to be sent to the harvest in Japan.

Yu’s mother is a Christian and his wife’s mother is a Christian, too. He and his wife had the rare opportunity to hear about Christ as they grew up in Japan. He knows that most Japanese do not get that opportunity, and he desperately wants his students to know Jesus. God has given him a burden for those who have yet to hear.

*The name of the man has been changed to protect his privacy.

Pray that:

Yu and the Christians with whom he is praying will be united in their witnessing efforts.

The students will see Christ living in Yu and will ask him questions about his faith.

Yu will pass on the burden to share with others to his students.
