Give Him a Try

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.’” John 14:6, NASB.

Tennis club members guardedly listened as Southern Baptist missionaries shared their testimonies. The attitude written on the faces of the Japanese was, “I’m Japanese and that means I am Buddhist.” 

The 13 members of the tennis club had taken a trip together, which gave them ample time to talk and to spend more time together. As the testimonies continued and the Holy Spirit convicted hearts, Mrs. An* began to respond and encouraged her husband to believe. Another tennis player who was president of an engineering company said with conviction, “I’ll give the Savior Jesus you believe in a try.” Other members listened, but they gave no response.

Pray that:

The president of the engineering company will discover that Jesus is faithful and true and will put all of his trust in Christ.

The tennis club members will be drawn to the Savior as they think about testimonies they heard and ask questions of their Christian friends.

Mrs. An and her husband will both believe in Christ.
