Seasons Changing

"He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.” Daniel 2:21-22 NIV 

For months along the shore there has been nothing but a landscape of gray both physically and mentally. Sand lies thick over areas that once gave life to grass. Concrete foundations lie bare, having been stripped of the homes that were once built above them. Smoke rises from the rubble being gathered and burned. And trees have been stripped of the leaves that once gave them color. In a sense, the landscape gives somber witness to the atmosphere of death and destruction that overtook everything one Sunday morning.  

However, that landscape is now changing; for among the gray there is a new color! Overnight, a bright yellow-green has begun to spring forth from trees and give a new spirit of life to that once somber atmosphere. It is impossible to miss; even in death God opens new paths for life to pierce the darkness that cannot and will not overcome it. 

Pray that:

Even in the darkness of death, God will make a way from the darkness as volunteers continue to live and speak strong witnesses of that faith to all the people.

God will make a way for new physical life here in areas that have come to know death all too well.
