San Chay means people who live on pilings. Over 140,000 San Chay live in Northern Vietnam and another 40,000 live in Southern China. Spirit worship has a major place in their lives with elaborate, colorful festivals held to appease different spirits such as river, tree or crop spirits. Each village shaman, also the village head, is highly respected and responsible for all religious activity. The San Chay have no scriptures, Jesus video, or Gospel recordings in their local languages. Although no outside evangelical groups are working to reach the San Chay, believers from surrounding minority people groups have witnessed to the San Chay and about 6,000 have come to faith in Christ. Pray that new believers will live in a manner worthy of Christ and become bold witnesses to their friends, families and villages. See www.go2pacrim.org for other specific requests for the San Chay, and please remember them specifically on June 7, the PacRim Day of Prayer and Fasting.

A national student wrote, "I’m overwhelmed, and life is more complex than I ever thought. Dealing with people is always the greater challenge, yet it provides an opportunity for me to grow.’" Although this bright and lively young lady had many opportunities to serve in her homeland, she chose to serve with friends in a neighboring country among an unreached people. Remember students like her who are following the Master and serving in cross-cultural settings. Ask the Spirit to send encouragement and grace for every situation as they labor in the harvest.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. Eka hears the call to prayer five times daily. The food sold to her in the shops is marked halal (clean or holy) so she can eat it. She wears the colorful head coverings. She shares, "Anything in my life, Islam has taught me." All her traditions are influenced by Islam. She cannot imagine life in any other way. Pray that Eka and her people group, the Ogan, would trust the Holy Spirit’s power to enable them to follow God, their Creator and Provider of salvation. Pray that Jesus would fill and influence every aspect of Ogan life.

Many volunteers will be coming to PacRim this summer to assist in various ministries and special meetings. Pray for safety and good health as they travel. Ask that they would be used in a mighty ways and be deeply encouraged and blessed as they minister in His Spirit. Pray for those supervising to be helpful and available, and pray for strong ties connections to develop.

K, a growing Christian, has been committed to studying the Word, applying it in his everyday life, sharing his faith with family and friends, and using his own shop for ministry. Recently he became very busy with work and struggled with time for fellowship and discipleship with other believers. As a result, he became discouraged. His devotional life, witness and ministry are now suffering also. Pray for renewed strength and for a community of new believers to gather that will be faithful in worship, fellowship, witnessing and discipleship among people in central Tokyo, Japan.

Despite their degrees from one of Tokyo’s top art schools, ‘I’ and ‘O’ have "chosen" to be homeless. The Parks met them while visiting their homeless tent community recently and shared the Gospel. As they continue to meet weekly, pray for the salvation of I and O.

In one country the national schools are nearing the end of their summer. Doors have opened for new preschools to begin in several areas. Please pray that He will choose the teachers from these communities and that they will become a part of His family and bring others in as well. Pray for wisdom for the workers who are training these new teachers. Pray that whole families will learn the truth as a result of their involvement in these communities.Him as their Savior and Lord.

This June six college students from Prince Avenue Baptist Church in Athens, GA will be in Japan to prayerwalk and do evangelistic outreach on Tokyo’s Keio University campus. Pray that many new friendships will be formed between these students and Japanese peers that will allow them to share the Gospel and their lives in this brief time.

Korean Centrifuge is scheduled for June 18–23 and Centri-Kid, June 25-29. A team from Lifeway will lead the camp for over 130 students. Many campers often have no church affiliation and do not have a personal relationship with Christ. Pray for traveling mercy for the team, for wisdom in finalizing plans, for unity and cohesiveness in using their various gifts, for strength and perseverance in two consecutive weeks of camps, and for spiritual guidance to be used by God for His glory. Pray for good weather for the many outdoor activities. Pray that campers will have softened hearts ready to respond to the Lord.

Praise God that two female university students have agreed to study the Bible weekly with Anita J in Manila, Philippines. Pray that Monique and Divine will enter a saving relationship with Christ and can influence many students with the gospel.

Whether you are serving alone or on a team, annual meetings allow you opportunities to connect with others who have children the same age, experience new training, worship in English, connect with intercessors, and be refreshed in many ways. Pray that workers will return to their daily routines from the annual meetings this month with a radiant countenance revealing that they met with God and have been renewed and empowered for the tasks ahead.

Many workers use tracts to share the gospel. Tracts continue to speak long after the worker has gone. One worker writes, "Pray for those individuals who have responded to our tract distribution. They have been presented with the message of the Lord in several ways." Pray that they will continue to seek Him and find Him as their Savior and Lord.

As this school year comes to a close, pray for several TCKs who will be graduating from high school and college. Ask for His peace for parents and graduates in the numerous transitions and decisions they face and pray for clear discernment for the future as they face new schools, friends, teachers and challenges. Pray that God’s purposes will be accomplished in each life.

"All the nations You have made will come and worship before You, O Lord; they will bring glory to Your Name." Psalm 86:9
