He Healed Others

“And Jesus was going about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.” Matthew 9:35, NASB.

Jesus had cleaned Manny’s* life of many sins and given him a new and living hope. He is one of the first believers from his people group of over a million people, and many have been watching him to see if Jesus is able to do what Manny has claimed. Recently, he began having severe stomach pain that he thought might be appendicitis. Manny, like many of his people, is too poor to seek medical help when he gets sick.

Manny thought back about what he had learned about Jesus. Jesus had cast out demons. Jesus had calmed a raging storm. Jesus had healed others. If all of this was true, then Jesus could heal him. Manny recounted these truths to Jesus in prayer and then asked Him to heal his stomach. That same moment the pain in his stomach vanished and has never returned! Manny told everyone he met that day, “Jesus healed me. My stomach was in great pain, but I asked Jesus to heal me and the pain is gone!”

God will continue to display His power through Manny’s transformed life.

Those watching Manny will become followers of Jesus and experience the same healing that Manny has found.
