Final Judgment

“For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.” John 5:26-27, NAS.

Saul* is a single Muslim man in his forties. As he read his Quran it occurred to him that Isa (the Arabic name for Jesus) was special. In his Islamic tradition he had prayed for the salvation of God’s main prophet. Yet he read in the Quran that Isa knows about the final judgment.

“Why am I praying for the prophet’s salvation, when he doesn’t know about the final judgment?” wondered Saul. “If  Isa is the one who will judge, why aren’t I following him?” With these questions in mind, Saul went to a Christian church, and met with the pastor. The pastor arranged for Saul to meet with a Muslim background pastor from a neighboring city.

Saul is still struggling with the implications of what he is learning about Isa. He wants to be prepared for judgment, and the fact that his prophet still needs prayers for salvation gives him little comfort.

*Name changed for security reasons.

Pray that:

Saul will make the decision to trust Isa for his salvation on the final judgment day.

The local pastor working with Saul will have courage and wisdom to help Saul in his spiritual journey.

God will bless the ministry of the Muslim background pastor who visited with Saul.
