Demon Child

“And having summoned His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.” Matthew 10:1, NAS.

Walking through the village Manny* noticed an 8-year-old boy following him. The child’s eyes glowed red like burning coals. Fear gripped Manny’s heart and he began to run. The child chased after him. Manny leapt onto a moving moto-taxi. The child jumped on the taxi and cornered Manny. In the name of Jesus Manny prayed to cast the demon out. Immediately the child’s countenance changed, and then he went limp. Then Manny woke up from his dream.

Spiritual oppression and demon possession is not uncommon among Manny’s people. As one of the first believers from his people, Manny believes that God sent him this dream so he would know that he does not have to be afraid of other spirits, but that he has authority to cast them out in Jesus’ Name.

Pray that:

All the believers from Manny’s people group will understand and use their authority in Christ over the spirits that they used to fear.

The power of the Holy Spirit will free many of Manny’s people from spiritual bondage so they might hear and receive the Gospel of Peace.
