Keep Asking

“And I say to you, ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.” Luke 11:9, NAS.

As a Christian I have learned the value of persistent prayer. I am Chinese Thai and most of my family is Buddhist. They are sad about my decision to be Christian, but they still love and support me. While they are not open to hear about Christianity, they are very willing for me pray for them.

I remember a time when my sister got sick right before I was to go on a spiritual retreat with my church. She had a burning sensation in her leg. I prayed with her the night before I was to leave, but she experienced no relief from the pain. On the way to the retreat I prayed with four other believers for my sister. I got a call from one of my Christian friends on Friday. She told me that in her prayer time the Lord revealed to her that my sister would be healed that night. I called my mother and told her to tell my sister that she would be healed and that we were praying for her.

When my sister woke up on Saturday morning the pain was completely gone; she was healed! All my family was amazed that the power of God had healed my sister. I was grateful that God led me to keep praying for her healing and that He gave me faith to believe my friend when she received a word from the Lord. God does amazing things when you have faith and keep asking!

Pray that:

This Thai believer will see her entire family come to faith in Jesus.

Thai Christians will demonstrate great faith and perseverance in prayer.
