On April 5, please join us in the Pacific Rim Prayer Emphasis for the Sasak of Indonesia. The Sasak number more than 2.3 million. They are friendly with high moral standards, and proper etiquette within family systems is expected. The majority are Muslim, and many are involved in black magic and spirit worship. Visit www.go2pacrim.org for specific ways to pray for this unreached people group.

During April, a prayerwalking team will travel to Chiri San, an area of South Korea with the smallest number of Christians. For three days they will ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of the lost and to give boldness to local believers to share His love and the gospel with their neighbors and families. Pray with them for travel mercies, guarded hearts and minds, and divine opportunities.

Nehemiah Team members are trained in basic evangelism with the desire that their efforts will result in lives changed by the Gospel and groups formed to worship the one true God in unreached areas of the Philippines. During April & May, Filipino teams have the opportunity to minister among the following people groups: Hiagonon, Eskaya, Kamayo, Mandaya, eastern Subanen, and Tau-Mara. They will also be focusing on Dinagat Island, Siquijor Island, and Dapitan City. Pray for a special training for the first Korean Nehemiah team during April and ask that they will be prepared in body, heart, and spirit to share His love and good news with those in the Philippines. Pray that the lives of team members will be forever changed as they make an eternal difference in the lives of others. Pray for "persons of peace" in each area and for those whom the Lord would use in each particular place.

Thad’s mom is 63 years old and a widow with three adult children. Her husband was murdered during a previous war when Thad was in her womb. Thad loves his mom and has been sharing with her about his faith since he became a believer. As with many of her generation, she is devoted to the worship of her ancestors. She literally lives at a famous temple with other followers. Thad’s mom has a large fibrous mass, and Thad is reaching out to her in love and helping her to get necessary medical treatment. Pray that this woman will know the Truth of the gospel and will turn to the Lord who is her Healer and Salvation.

Pray for M., a young Japanese newspaper editor who recently heard the gospel and asked for books to read on the Faith. Pray that her heart will be touched by the Holy Spirit and that she will see her need for a Savior.

Recently the P/O believers celebrated the 100-year anniversary of the first believers among their people group. There has been slow growth of the church, but thank the Father for these believers. Still there is no BOOK in their language. Pray for the believers to be mature and effective witnesses and for more seed to be planted and a harvest to be reaped. Pray for an indigenous reproducible fellowship to begin.

A worker was meeting with a national believer recently, discussing how the enemy can wear down the believer and reduce him/her to a place of ineffective service. She shared that in her language it literally translates "talk little." She said, "Satan likes to ‘talk little’ so that the believer doesn’t know it is exactly him speaking. This is why he is the deceiver!" Pray that nationals and workers alike will be sensitive to identify the lies that Satan is whispering in their ears, and these lies will not distract them from seeking the full will and Glory of God in their lives.

Pray for the work with prisoners in one Southeast Asian country. Ask the Lord to make Himself known to both internationals and nationals who are incarcerated. Pray that those who become believers will take the Word back home to their friends and families.
