Dead Before 10 p.m.

“They are dreaded and feared. Their justice and authority originate with themselves.” Habakkuk 1:7, NAS.

A group of Christian youth spent three weeks among a people group known for its fierce, unconquered spirit. At the first village, they were immediately brought before the village leaders and interrogated.

While all the youth gave good answers to the questions put to them, the leaders were still unsure about the group. One of the military leaders of the village said, “It’s okay, if we find out that you have come here for some other purpose that we don’t like, you’ll be dead before 10 p.m. tonight.”

The youth did not let these threats scare them. They had a productive three weeks and spent a full week in three different villages. Through relationships the youth were able to share the Gospel with several youth in the villages, and they even lived to tell about their experiences!

Pray that:

Believers will not allow the fierceness of this people group to keep them from building relationships and sharing the Gospel.

The prejudice and hatred of this people group for Christians will be disarmed through acts of love and kindness on the part of believers.
