Often the Christmas season brings opportunities to share the reason for this holiday and openness for neighbors and lost friends to accept invitations to special programs and meals. Pray that hearts will be softened through the love demonstrated by workers and believers and that His message of love and salvation will be heard, received, and spread to thousands this Christmas season throughout the peoples of PacRim.

Pray that workers teaching English to religious leaders will know how to best use this tool, so the students will come to know "IAM," even through their actions and words. Ask the Lord to open hearts and eyes to the Truth and that much fruit will result.

Ask God to provide long-term visas and creative avenues for several workers to remain in their new countries.

Three friends of two new teenage believers have decided to become followers. Keep praying for them to encourage one another in the faith and also for others who are studying the Word with them. Pray that they will understand who the Lord is and how He can change their lives.

Maricel is a young Filipino mother who visits her parents periodically where a house church meets. When a worker saw her interest in God’s Word, she asked God to give her a chance to talk with Maricel uninterrupted. When she returned, Maricel’s little sister was playing with her baby. This was the opportunity and answer to prayer, so the worker shared the plan of salvation with an attentive Maricel. Acknowledging she was a sinner, Maricel didn’t know where she would go if she died. She believed Jesus died for her. After reading Romans 10:13, she called out for Jesus to save her. Pray that Maricel will grow in her new life with Christ and share His message of love and salvation with lost friends and family.

Previously people prayed for Mr. K and 5 T ladies who had just started a translation project. They have already finished 6 of the 31 stories and have reported that translating these stories has made the Word come alive for them. Pray for Mr. K, as his mother has become seriously ill and has had to be hospitalized since he began this translation project. Pray that God will heal his mother and that Mr. K will stand firm in the midst of many trials.

A young new believer was kicked out of her home. Then her mother and brother forced her to return home, even slapping and forcing her to perform former religious rituals. A bit later, her mother suddenly made her pack a bag to travel to another city, a hotbed of spiritual darkness and oppression. Living in these conditions will not be easy or good days for her. Praise Jesus that He is her hiding place and Protector. Pray that the Spirit will reveal His Word to her, bring comfort and grace in all circumstances, and enable her to stand firm and to be bold in her faith and witness. Pray that every effort that might cause her to recant, whether from this world or the realm unseen, will be thwarted.

Pray that hundreds will respond to a correspondence study by mail, desire to start study groups in their homes, and receive the Lord as a result of the media distribution throughout a province in a last frontier country.

Pray for several young men who are new believers and growing in their faith but are dealing with a lot of cultural persecution. One of them is struggling with how to tell his parents of his new faith. He wants to be baptized, but is fearful of how his family will respond.
