Dream Prayers Answered!

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22, NIV.

Two Southern Baptist volunteers received an email from the IMB field person they were planning to visit. The email simply read, “Persecution has increased in our area. You may want to consider rescheduling your trip.” After prayer, both men felt led to come anyway.

While driving to a Muslim village the volunteers and their two translators bowed and prayed. They asked the Lord to grant dreams that night to people of influence, and then they asked that they might meet these people and explain their dreams, and share the Gospel.

The next morning, they split into two teams. One team met and shared with a group of fishermen. The other team got lost, or rather got redirected, in answer to prayer. On this “wrong” road they met a man. When the man saw them, he quickly invited them into his house.

He said, “I had a dream last night where two men came to my house to share an important message with me. One man spoke my language and the other did not.”

Through the translator, the volunteer shared about his prayer the day before. He then shared the Gospel with this man, his entire household, and several of the neighbors who had gathered at the windows to hear what the foreigner had to say. While the man did not respond to the message, two other men did pray to accept Isa (the Arabic name for Jesus).

It turns out that the man who had the dream is very influential in his community! This story should not surprise us. God’s Kingdom always advances when His children pray and share boldly.

Pray that:

The man of influence will come to faith and in turn lead others to follow Jesus.

More Southern Baptist volunteers will answer the call to come to the Pacific Rim to pray and share boldly!
