The Way of Love

“For man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.” James 1:20, NIV.

As a new believer Tom* read “Voice of the Martyrs.” Reading the graphic descriptions of Christians being cruelly tortured and killed by Muslims made Tom angry. “I hated Muslims,” said Tom. “I even tore up a Quran (destroying the Muslim holy book is one of the most offensive things you can do to a Muslim) to show my anger at what they had done. But God showed me that anger and hatred are not His ways.”

God called Tom and his family to go and serve among a Muslim people group. He showed Tom that Muslim’s are beautiful people who are held in bondage by sin, tradition and culture. “I still hate the path of Islam, because it has no future and no hope,” said Tom. “But I love Muslim people. Jesus died for them too, and my anger over what happened in the past brought no glory to God.”

Pray that:

Christian and Muslim peoples will see that anger and hatred are not the way of love.

Christian and Muslim peoples will seek, find, and follow the truth.
