Rapid Generations

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” 1 Corinthians 1:27, NIV.

The 6.6 million Be-New* people are over 99% Muslim. They are below average in education and economics, and they have a higher rate of moral problems than the people groups who live around them. All these factors cause the Be-New to be looked down upon by the general public. But God is changing the future of the Be-New through rapid generations of faith.

Ben came to faith after meeting a believer in a government office. He immediately began sharing the Gospel with his friends. Sid was one of the people Ben led to faith. Sid immediately began sharing, and within two months he led another twenty people to faith. Randy, a 74-year-old village leader, was one of the people Sid led to faith. Randy immediately began sharing the Gospel with his friends, and he has already led seventeen people to faith.

Russ is another Be-New man who came to faith through Sid’s witness. He has great hope for the future of his family and his people. Looking back on the mistakes he made before knowing Jesus Russ said, “Had I known this good news a long time ago my life would have been very different.”

God does not despise the poor and outcasts of society. Rather He favors them because they best display the power of His redemption. The transformation of the Be-New people is just another example of God using the weak things of this world to shame the strong!

*People group and people names have been changed for security.

Pray that:

The transformation of the Be-New people will be so profound that other peoples who used to look down upon them will be instead drawn to faith in Jesus.

God will continue to create rapid generations of faith among the Be-New resulting in groups of believers in every Be-New village.
