Ramadan begins on 24 September. Ask that God would create a powerful, deep hunger and thirst for righteousness in the hearts of Muslims throughout PacRim. Pray they will search until they come to know and walk in Absolute Truth. The booklet, 30-Days of Prayer for the Muslim World, can be ordered on-line at http://www.30-days.net

In Fukuoka Ayu, a Japanese nursing student asked for an interview with some workers to learn about their experiences with Japanese hospitals. Before they could meet, her father died. When they finally met, Ayu listened to a testimony and accepted a copy of Psalm 139. Pray that she will allow God to comfort her and will receive Jesus as her Savior.

Will you stand in the gap for the 33 million B people group who have never heard the Gospel? The B people are proud of their own forms of worship – of golden idols and strong spirits. Many days the evil one whispers in ears of workers that the task is hopeless and clouds their minds with human-sized efforts. Because God is awesome and great, pray that the workers will not be discouraged and that they will soon see breakthroughs into this group.

S, a religious leader, shared with a worker that every night he would read the Bible and experience dreams where the man Jesus gave him advice, asked him to repent of his sins, turn from evil, and tell others about Him. S was encouraged to do whatever Jesus said and to discover His purpose for his life. S declared that he thought that was to be a missionary. Pray for S and the other religious leaders who are studying English with this worker. Ask the Lord to continue the wonderful work He is doing in their lives.

A translation project continues to face one problem after another. Pray specifically for the safety and welfare of those involved in the project, as they have been plagued by accidents and sickness. Also ask that they can work without interruptions and distractions. Pray for a spirit of unity and exactness, as they choose vocabulary that clearly communicates the heart of the Word.

Young mothers in Japan are often some of the most accessible, open, and receptive to the Gospel. As you praise God for three seeking moms, pray that Mami, who is so close to trusting Christ, will take that final step of faith and that Yoko and Yasuko, who have begun asking specific questions about the Christian life, will believe.

The three islands comprising the Masbate cluster in the Philippines have a population of 707,668 with only 1.97% Evangelical. A woman who owns a rice porridge shop opened the door for Bible study with her ten employees after the store closes in the evening. Seventeen people attended the first Bible study. Pray for these employees to understand the gospel and be saved. Pray that their testimonies will reach out to hundreds resulting in a church planting movement on these islands.

Lift up those who are being imprisoned for obedience to Christ. Ask that they would endure and thrive in the midst of hardship. Pray for grace to endure, a loving spirit and a compassionate heart that would communicate the love of Christ to those who are oppressing them.
