Requests from Around the Rim: July 16-31, 2006

One cluster of islands became infamous for the terrible killing of thousands over a two-year period and is the center of horrible ‘religious’ violence. Pray for K&K as they prepare to become the strategy coordinators for reaching this group of people for Christ. 

Every Saturday night Frank and Jenny have one of several orphans for an overnight stay in their home. Pray that while in their home, the students would see God’s love shining through them.  Pray that the students would come to experience God’s love personally.

The Ki family in Japan has expressed interest in worship. The wife is a believer and the husband is not. Pray that their schedules will allow them to worship with workers soon.

Pray that God will raise up a multitude of Christian workers within Australia who are passionate to reach their own nation for Christ. Pray for a multiplication of believers and churches in the coming days.

Desy is a young woman who became a follower a few months ago.  Her family has no idea that she has changed her beliefs and she is scared to share with them what has happened.  Ask Him to protect and guide Desy and that she would be wise with her family and her life.

A good crop could open doors for a spiritual harvest. Some national workers have been working in a village to help increase crop production.  Reaching this village has been difficult. They hope for open doors as villagers witness a successful crop production and begin asking why is their village experiencing these blessings. Ask that the harvest would be great both in grain and in spirit and villagers will look to see why this village is so special.

Until about three years ago, YS was a staunch Buddhist and a recognized "underworld" figure in his community. He has come to faith in Christ and has zeal to share the good news with others. He has struggled with disillusionment related to his church community. Ask God to give him understanding as to how to share the Good News of the Kingdom with his friends as well as perseverance in his own faith.
