COMPETITORS NOW BROTHERS.

An invitation came to enter a new village because the people wanted to hear more about Jesus. Since this was highly unusual, the workers were somewhat suspicious. The man who instigated the invitation had helped one of the sponsored surgery patients and saw Christ’s love demonstrated. The group listened attentively, and many received Christ. Since this village is close to R’s village, the workers hoped R would find some fellowship with these new believers. Amazingly, R and the new believer who had invited them were long-time business competitors! Pray their new relationship as brothers in Christ will bear a positive, powerful testimony to people who see the dramatic change in their lives and that they will also be receptive to His love and transforming power.

RESISTANT RESPONDERS.

Haenyo (women divers) are usually very resistant to the Gospel. During their prayerwalks near the S. Korean seashore of Jeju island Clark, James and Martha have witnessed to these divers and recently saw four come to Christ. Pray that their faith will grow strong and that good discipleship and training efforts will follow.

PARALYZED.

In the Philippines Carmelita sat paralyzed for 25 years in a wheelchair unable to even swat the flies that landed on her face. Tony S., Parkway Baptist Church’s volunteer team leader, took the time to share the gospel with her. With tears she prayed to receive Christ and said, "Many people have talked to me about religion, and I didn’t listen. You’re the first person to tell me about the Lord. Thank you for coming." Pray that Carmelita will grow in her relationship with Christ and will boldly share her testimony with others.

ORAL WORD.

Ask the Lord to bless the Oral Bible School begun in one PacRim country. It is already being shared with and used by many other GCCs. The workers desperately desire to reach the oral majority. Pray that the Word of God sown in their hearts will not return void, as the Lord promised, and that students will passionately share the Word with family and friends.

PERSECUTED.

Lift up those being persecuted for their faith. In particular, lift up Sunny, whose family has rejected her. Ask that God would continue to give her strength, faith, love, and endurance, and to remind her that she is not alone. Lift up a large group of 300 believers recently arrested and imprisoned for their faith. Pray that they will be bold and courageous and that God will strengthen their hearts during this ordeal. Pray that they will remain true to the faith and give a clear witness to their captors allowing God to bring many to salvation. Finally, pray for the safe release of these brothers and sisters in Christ.

AMAZING GRACE.

While prayerwalking in Osaka, one of Central Japan’s Mega Cities, the Gellerstedts entered a furniture store and heard "Amazing Grace" playing in the background. God provided a unique opportunity to witness to the owner, and now Bob meets with the man before the store opens to read the Bible. Pray that this store owner and the people of Osaka will soon accept God’s Amazing Grace and will plant reproducing churches.

KINDNESS OPENS DOOR.

A, a national partner, was excited when he received a call from a distant village. "We saw your kindness toward our people through your medical team. Please come tell us about Jesus." He had prayed that morning for the gospel to spread among his people. Three hours later he and a partner were on the road to share the plan of salvation with over 60 people. God opened many hearts that day. Pray that a group will be planted there and that the people will continue to hunger for Truth.
