Pacific Rim Prayer Requests: April 1-15, 2006
Prayer Requests: Daniel, a recent college graduate and member of the 2005 American Nehemiah Teams just arrived in the Philippines and is studying language and culture. He is part of a team conducting "P5 Mission Meetings," involving the teaching and encouraging of young people in missions: praying, giving, and going. Pray for Daniel as he orientates and debriefs the upcoming summer Nehemiah teams and assists in their ministries. Pray for Mr. Sa, a young Japanese realtor, whose first name means "truth". He is very open to the gospel and is working to find housing for a new missionary couple coming to his city. As he meets this couple, pray that he will also meet Christ, make him his Lord and Savior, and become a person of peace to reach Shizuoka and the surrounding cities. Praise God for six new believers at KT Baptist Church! Four were youth that were prayed for by their parents and the other two were parents of youth in the church. Prayer has gone up for them for over two years. One of the youth is the youngest son in the family, so now all five family members are believers. Pray for good discipleship of these new believers. In a B’New village where very serious opposition to the gospel and persistent persecution against the few believers has occurred, four families recently came to Christ. These families are involved in groups and are studying the Word. Nothing is impossible with God. Ask that God would pour out His Spirit in a mighty way and many will come to a saving knowledge of Christ. Pray TCKs (Third Culture Kids) will thrive where they are planted. Pray for discernment and wisdom when they experience cultural clashes. Pray for assurance of who they are in Christ and that this truth will strengthen and encourage them. Mr. P is still in ICU after his harrowing experience of being crushed between his vehicle and a wall. Mr. P’s family has called workers to visit and pray. Mr. P cannot speak, but he can now open his eyes and write a word or two. One evening Mr. P appeared quite startled and wrote on a piece of paper "Tomorrow, make merit." Indicating his need to pay homage at the temple for things that he had done wrong and to appease the spirit realm, his accident allowed the worker to share about the Spirit who was over all spirits and God’s love for them. Pray the Lord would draw Mr. P and his family to Himself and many others with whom workers are sharing His love. Pray for R & M, a couple in Tasmania who have started a church in their home. Pray for their ability to start a new group with the additional contacts they have in their local community. For a downloadable pdf file, click here. |
