Tewada is a Thai angel . . .Aspiring Tewada

“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10, NIV.

We were taking a tour down a river in Thailand, and our boat guide took us to a Buddhist temple. Our guide’s name was Mr. Dawn. He stood in a special worship room with us filled with hundreds of images on the walls. We asked Mr. Dawn who these images were.

“They are Thai angels, or Tewada, which live in heaven,” explained Mr. Dawn.

“Are they here in this room?” we asked.

“No, if a person lives a good life and does many good deeds, he may become a Tewada after this life ends.”

“That’s very interesting, Mr. Dawn. And if a person becomes a Tewada in heaven, do they stay there forever?”

“Oh, no.” he said. “A person may be in heaven as a Tewada for a long time, but then he must be born into this world again and live other lives. I am studying all of these things so that one day I may be a Tewada.” How could we pass up this opportunity?

“We know the Greatest God who made the universe,” we explained. “He loves you, Mr. Dawn, more than anybody. He promised if you will give your life to Him that He would accept you as His own child. He promised that as His children we would be greater than all the angels. Actually, our God sends His angels to serve and protect His children, even when we live in this world! After this life, God will take His children to live in His heaven forever, and we will never have to live another life in this world again!”

Mr. Dawn was impressed. This was amazing news to him. We will see him again, for we have his card and number. When we return to take a tour on the river, we’ll call him. Maybe YOU will be here with us, serving as a volunteer to share this amazing news to many people like Mr. Dawn. The Thai people are so amazed to hear that a holy, righteous God loves them!

Pray that:

Mr. Dawn and the other 18 million Central Thai people will have the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news. If Mr. Dawn or any others enter into God’s Kingdom, it will be due to His power and your prayers.

God will call volunteers to come and show the love of God to the Central Thai people through short and long-term assignments.
