Out of Gas

“We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28, HCSB.

Everything that goes wrong has potential to be a divine appointment. During his two years serving as a Journeyman in Pacific Rim, Will* has seen God open doors time again through mishaps and accidents. When the truck he was driving ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere, Will started looking. “What are you going to do now God,” Will thought?

It wasn’t long before a local man drove by. He slowed down and asked what was wrong with Will’s truck. Will explained that he was out of gas, and the young man told Will to come with him. There was a home that sold gas near by, and he agreed to take Will there.

As they drove along the road, the young man began to ask about American culture. Will took that as an invitation to share about his relationship with Jesus. After giving his testimony Will offered a Bible to his rescuer. The man received the gift and exchanged contact information so he and Will could talk some more.

As the man dropped him off back at the truck with the gas he needed to return to town, Will thanked God. Without fail the Father turned another mishap into an opportunity to further His Kingdom!

*Name changed for security reasons.

Pray that:

Pacific Rim personnel will have eyes like Will’s to see divine appointments in the middle of mishaps.

Seeds planted by believers in the Pacific Rim will result in many salvations and in many new churches.
