“I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.” 1 Timothy 2:8, NIV. The H.A.N.D.S. prayer model was adopted as a regional prayer tool by all of Pacific Rim’s personnel in July 2005. It is a simple prayer tool that can be used on your family meal table, desk or any place as a reminder to lift up prayers for others. As a Southern Baptist family, we can pray in one accord as we lift up the same requests found on Pacific Rim’s web page every month.
Each finger represents specific areas needing our prayers. H - stands for home: pray for your family - immediate, extended, living near or at a distance. A - stands for area: pray for the missionary, country or people group that you have adopted. This also stands for local Christian leadership in Pacific Rim countries. N - stands for non-believers: worldwide but certainly those you know by name; the UPGs of PacRim; your people group. D - stands for decision-makers: political leaders both local and national, IMB leaders in the US and in Pacific Rim, any person in authority. S - stands for servants: includes all believers from experienced church leaders to new believers.
